The Pure Blue Japan 1186-1 takes the classic five-pocket jean and reimagines it in a substantial 14oz slub chambray. Woven with indigo-dyed warp yarns and unbleached natural weft yarns, the fabric has a distinctive heathered appearance and uneven texture that sets it apart from conventional denim.

Despite its considerable weight and pronounced slub character, the chambray retains a soft, breathable hand, making it comfortable enough for year-round wear. The combination of indigo warp and natural weft gives the fabric a lighter, more nuanced appearance than traditional indigo denim, while the irregular surface adds depth and visual character.

Cut in Pure Blue Japan’s Regular Straight fit, the 1186-1 offers a classic silhouette with the distinctive texture and textile experimentation that define the brand’s approach to Japanese denim.
