The Buzz Rickson's BR02835 Type A-10 Winter Flying Gloves faithfully reproduce the cold-weather gloves issued to U.S. Army Air Forces pilots beginning in 1938. Designed for winter flight duty, the original Type A-10 was built around durable leather construction with a warm wool lining and carefully engineered details to provide both comfort and a secure fit.

These gloves are made from horsehide and lined with 100% wool for warmth and insulation. The wrists are finished with 100% wool tubular knit cuffs, reinforced with leather patches to help prevent stretching through repeated wear. Three rows of stitching across the back of the hand help control the leather and maintain a close, comfortable fit.

The construction is particularly detailed, with the palm and back of the glove individually sewn around all five fingers. This demanding construction requires a high level of sewing skill and reflects the meticulous craftsmanship of the original flight gloves.

Made in Japan, the BR02835 Type A-10 combines authentic military-inspired construction with substantial materials, making it a distinctive cold-weather glove built to develop character with wear.
