The Buzz Rickson BR15764 U.S. Navy Woolen Submariner Coat is a faithful reproduction of the cold-weather coat issued to U.S. Navy submarine crews during the early 1940s. The Submariner Coat was already specified in the U.S. Navy's 1941 Uniform Regulations and was designed to provide dependable protection against harsh conditions at sea.

Constructed from dense 30oz wool herringbone twill, the coat offers substantial warmth and excellent resistance to cold weather. The closely woven herringbone wool gives the garment a structured, refined appearance while maintaining the rugged practicality expected of naval outerwear.

The design is intentionally understated, featuring a stand collar with a generously sized chin strap and just two large exterior patch pockets with flaps. Its clean silhouette shares some of the same straightforward character as the Navy's iconic pea coat and deck jacket, with unnecessary details eliminated in favor of function and durability.

Military-specification urea buttons and a reproduction U.S. Navy Uniform label complete the authentic detailing. Made in Japan, Buzz Rickson's BR15764 captures the understated utility and enduring character of classic U.S. Navy submarine clothing.
