CAMPUS JACKET - MIDNIGHT DENIM

Mister Freedoms latest addition is the much-awaited woven fabric interpretation of the classic veg-tan leather Campus jacket. Inspired by 1930’s sportswear, the 'Cossack' style unlined leather jacket is designed with all necessary construction and pattern edits. The arm/cuff construction is borrowed from our Ranch Blouse pattern, and the trim 1930’s silhouette with a one-piece back exudes timeless elegance.

Crafted with utmost attention to detail, the jacket features fully unlined, clean flat-felled seam construction and slash pockets with leather arrowhead pocket stops. The subtle contrast NOS double indigo denim side gussets/pocketing & pocket welt lend a touch of sophistication, while the side gussets featuring concealed double indigo denim selvedge ID add a hint of mystery.

For maximum comfort and versatility, this jacket is equipped with adjustable side straps patterned after the Drover Blouse and keyhole button holes. The Corrozo ‘Cat Eyes’ wood buttons (aka ivory nut) and Mister Freedom® original ‘The Sportsman’ rayon woven label add a touch of luxury to this already outstanding jacket.

Made in California, USA, in an ethically-responsible and small family-owned factory. The 16 Oz. “Midnight” denim, dark indigo warp & black weft twill shell with solid white selvedge ID is milled in Japan, and the pocketing/gussets/welt are made of NOS double indigo twill. The trims are black tea-core leather trims (pocket stops/side straps). 

Above is expected shrinkage in the chest, shoulders, back length, and sleeve. The Campus Jacket Midnight edition comes UN-WASHED, and is cut so that the measurements match the labeling AFTER an initial cold soak/line dry.
We recommend the usual protocol before wearing:
•Cold soak for about 30-40mn, with occasional hand agitation.
•Machine spin dry cycle, and line dry.
•Wear briefly while still damp to set creases, then hang until fully dry.
