These pants are made from a heavy flannel fabric featuring unique, wobbly “drunken” stripes, a pattern available exclusively overseas and through Samurai’s directly managed stores. Unlike printed or jacquard designs, the stripes are achieved through a specialized weaving technique carried out in Banshu—a region with over 100 years of textile history and home to the only mill in Japan capable of this process. The result is a one-of-a-kind flannel that cannot be replicated on standard machines. Woven from thick yarns, the fabric is left soft and unbrushed, making it suitable for year-round wear.
