Hawaiian Shirt- Picture (FN-SHO-009S)
This picture pattern Hawaiian shirt was created as a new design based on an actual vintage Hawaiian shirt from the 1940s and 1950s, and printed by hand. It is extremely difficult to complete a print with many colors like a picture pattern by hand printing, where a different plate is used for each color. The deep hues of the sky and sea are beautifully reproduced with gradations that cannot be expressed with single-color printing. This Hawaiian shirt is made from rayon fabric that has been carefully dyed color by color and tailored with intricate patterns, making it a piece that embodies the skills of Japanese artisans in terms of fabric making, dyeing and sewing.
100% rayon fabric woven on a shuttle loom
The warp and weft threads are made of "high-twist yarn" that is made by twisting rayon fibers more than usual, and the rayon fabric is woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom.
The original fabric was created in pursuit of the texture of rayon fabric using high-twist yarn, which is rare even in vintage Hawaiian shirts. It has a comfortable crispness and a solid weight despite appearing thin, and you can enjoy the strong drape that is unique to rayon.
