The UES Indigo Tricotine Work Shirt is made from Ues's original fabric, tricotine, woven using rope-dyed indigo yarns. Tricotine is defined by its distinctive twill structure, which resembles a knit in appearance and feel—offering a subtle stretch and responsive shrinkage depending on the direction of movement.
Developed as part of UES’s study of vintage military garments, this fabric blends historical inspiration with the brand’s signature approach to texture and durability. Despite using fine-count yarns, the fabric is woven on an old power loom at extremely high density, pushing the limits to achieve substantial weight and structure. The result is a 15.15oz indigo tricotine that feels dense and rugged while retaining a unique, almost knit-like flexibility, designed to age and soften beautifully with wear. Additionally, this shirt has a tremendous fading potential.
