Sumi Dyed Double Riders Jacket- Saddle Dyed Horsehide Black (SHR-58)
This Riders Jacket blends meticulous Y'2 construction with classic vintage character inspired by the original zip motorcycle jackets of the 40's and 50's. Made from vegetable-tanned horsehide dyed with traditional sumi ink, the leather will age beautifully, revealing a rich teacore patina over time. The classic details like handwarmer pockets, underarm gussets (often called footballs), and gusseted shoulders add comfort and mobility for everyday wear on and off the bike. Finishing touches such as the detachable mouton collar, quilted lining, and half belt highlight its heritage inspiration and timeless appeal.
About Sumi dyed leather:
The Japanese traditional craft, Nara sumi, takes more than twice as long time as usual to dye sumi. The leather becomes a classic deep jet black color. It's full vegetable tanned and has a saddle core so saddle comes out as you wear it. Thickness is approximately 1.5 milimeters.
